Dual Power
The BMU1500 is effectively two balanced mains unit in one box. One socket is rated at up to 1000VA suitable for a power amp or integrated amplifier. The second socket is rated at up to 500VA - suitable for the mains extension supplying your CD player, turntable and preamp.
Features
The Balanced Mains Unit 1500 has two output sockets - one rated at 1000VA and one rated at 500VA - fed by a 1500VA transformer. This means that you can connect a medium-powered power amp or integrated amp (of, for example up to about 250W per channel) into the 1000VA output, leaving the 500VA output for your preamp and sources.
An example system suitable for use with the BMU 1500 would be a Marantz CD63 mkII KI Signature CD player and a Naim ND X5 music streamer, connected to a Roksan Caspian M2 integrated amp (used as a preamp) and a Roksan Caspian M2 power amp. In this case, the M2 power amp would be connected to the 1000VA socket on the Balanced Mains Unit, and the CD player, music streamer and the preamp would be connected to the 500VA socket.

For protection, the BMU1500 is fitted with an internal, re-settable thermal breaker and integrated Magnetic Circuit Breakers in the on/off switches.
Specifications
The BMU1500 is fitted with a 16A IEC socket, so don't forget you'll need a 16A IEC plug on your cable as shown here with the W350iAg HC 16A connector.
N.B. Compatibility with other RA products
Users of our PowerPurifier / Ultra Purifier mains filters and SuperClamp / MegaClamp Ultras must connect those filters to an unbalanced mains and not to the balanced side of the Balanced Mains Units.
Users of our Ultra PurifierBlocks can return them for a free modification to allow their use with a Russ Andrews BMU. For an additional charge we can convert these filters into a separate filter units for use before or alongside the BMU.

Pricing
The second hand value of a product is based upon our upgrade scheme terms and conditions. The original (or 'was') price is based on the original retail price of the cable when it was purchased, which is why sometimes the pricing for the same cable can be different. All Pre Owned items are zero rated for VAT, so there is no reduction in value if you’re ordering outside of UK zone.
Quantity
Unless clearly stated, there is only one of the item available. Our system updates availability almost immediately however, it is possible for the item to be sold twice. If this happens, then the item will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If you are unsuccessful, we will contact you and process an immediate refund if required. If you add more than one to your basket, the additional items will be removed upon receipt of your order unless we can offer an alternative.
Can I upgrade to a Pre Owned cable?
Sorry, but you cannot upgrade your old cable to a Pre Owned cable.
Delivery charges
There is a delivery charge for all Pre-owned items irrespective of value (even if your order value exceeds £100). This is quoted at the checkout stage.
