Stack Audio LP12 Serene Arm Boards

Stack Audio’s SERENE Arm Boards can be used either with a Linn sub chassis or their own SERENE Sub- Chassis. The aim in the development of the Arm Board was to ensure a positive, rigid and tight connection to whichever sub-chassis it is connected to.
Available for the following arms
The original LP12 arm board uses self-tapping screws into mdf; the SERENE Arm Board incorporates threaded metal inserts for a secure, long-lasting connection. Like the Stack Audio’s Sub-Chassis, their ArmBoard is machined from their ‘Solid Surface’ material which matches the mass and balance of the original Linn Arm Board perfectly.
The SERENE Armboard is available with cut outs for Linn and Linn Ittok arms, Rega and Rega 3-point arms and SME arms with threaded inserts incorporated for fixing the SME and Rega 3-point arms directly (and without the need for a nut).
Replacement for any laminated LP12 arm board
Can be attached to SERENE and any separate sub-chassis (not compatible with Kore or Keel sub-chassis)
Designed to complement and work at its best with SERENE Sub-Chassis
Available with Linn/Ittok, Rega, Rega 3 point, and SME arm mountings
If simply attaching a SERENE Arm Board to an existing sub-chassis this can be done without dismantling the LP12. The baseboard will have to be removed and the arm cable and mounting detached. After fitting the new arm board the suspension will have to be re-checked for height and bounce. If a SERENE sub-chassis is being installed at the same time more extensive. Replacing the sub-chassis requires the removal of the baseboard, cross-brace and arm/arm board (see separate installation instructions).
We were introduced to Stack Audio - are a new company that product LINN LP12 turntable parts in 2018. They were keen for us to listen to some aftermarket, replacement components they had designed and made for the LP12. Russ was interested because the approach taken by Stack Audio mirrored some of Russ’s own approach to LP12 upgrades, in that the parts have very high rigidity with the aim of reducing vibrations and colourations from the LP12.
‘I was very impressed by the engineering of the parts; they are beautifully made. Better still, when put together and set up properly they produced a very enjoyable and musical sound. Highly recommended.’
Two levels exist within the Stack Audio range. Starting with Serene which delivers superb performance and excellent value for money. With the success of Serene, Stack Audio went on to develop a select number of the Serene range to make them even better. These are called Ultimate.
