What information we collect about you
When you place an order for our products, register for an online account, sign up for our electronic communications (such as our e-mail newsletters), or choose to receive our catalogues and magazines, we collect information about you. This may include your name, postal address, delivery addresses, e-mail address, telephone number and payment information. We also collect information about you when you enter prize draws and competitions, complete surveys and return warranty cards. How do we use the information about you?
We only use the information you share with us on the relevant lawful grounds as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation. The information you share in the process of placing an order allows us to process and send your orders, to update you on the progress of your orders and assist with future customer service enquiries. Because we offer a lifetime warranty on many of our products, and offer a cable upgrade scheme, we will normally keep your details securely for at least 25 years to enable us to operate these services. The exception to this is credit or debit card information which is held by our e-commerce card payment provider and is protected by encryption for optimal security and only retained temporarily.
If you have signed up to receive our emails, or our customer magazine and catalogues though the post, we'll use your information including details of any previous purchases, to help us decide what we talk to you about and when. We use your information to create profiles of, for example, our most loyal customers and those of you with particular interests - such as streaming or turntables. Doing this helps tailor our marketing communications so you receive information that is relevant and of interest to you.
Sharing your information
The information you share with us is private and we do not sell it to third parties for marketing purposes. We're passionate about Hi-Fi and music and we love talking about it. We will keep you up to date with our latest news, product information, offers and Hi-Fi-related articles and opinion. We'll do this by post, e-mail and social media and may use other methods of communication as they become available.
We'll send you our catalogues, customer magazine and newsletter in the post or by e-mail if you've previously bought something from us and if we think you'll be interested - or if you've asked us to. We'll continue to send you these unless we think you are no longer interested in hearing from us or you ask us to stop which we'll arrange straight away. We won't bombard you with information and you will not receive information from any other company if you've shared your information with us - we will never sell your details to any other organisation.
