The new Evolution range of PowerKords features Kimber Kable’s latest high purity copper (the highest purity ever found in a PowerKord) and our new earth geometry, which reduces the amount of noise induced into the earth by 20 times over the previous model. They really are an evolution of the design that we've loved for the past three decades and are the best performing PowerKords we've ever made.

• Evolution-500 uses twenty four separately-insulated Kimber Kable conductors, woven together to reduce Radio Frequency Interference (RFI).
• Progressing from the established 'earth down the centre' woven cable design used in earlier PowerKords, Evolution-500 features our new, Low Induced Noise earth geometry, where the earth is helically wound around the outside of the weave.
• Kimber have been working on the purity of the copper wire used in the PowerKords' braid; the new Evolution range features the highest purity copper ever used in a PowerKord.
• The Evolution-500 PowerKord™ is encapsulated in a Noise Reduction sleeving which uses a combination of two strand thicknesses to achieve flexibility and a soft, tactile feel to the cable.
• High performance Wattgate audio grade wall plugs and IEC connectors are used to ensure a positive, low-resistance connection to your component.

Most Hi-Fi and Home Cinema components - such as your CD player or integrated amp - are fitted with a standard 15A IEC socket (110-120v). For these, along with our X-Blocks™, choose the W350evo Rhodium standard IEC (pictured above, left).

Some high-end manufacturers, for example Audio Research, use a 20A 'High-Current' connector (110-120v). In these cases, you'll need to choose the W350i High Current Rhodium IEC (pictured above, right). This is also the connection you would use with our Balanced Mains Units.

The Evolution-500 PowerKord comes fitted with the top-of-the-range Rhodium-plated IEC connectors as standard.

IMPORTANT
Wattgate IEC connectors are designed to make a very tight connection to the pins of the IEC socket on your equipment or on our mains extensions - the better the connection, the better the performance. Consequently, they need to be pushed home very firmly. We strongly recommend watching our instructional video before fitting to ensure your Wattgate IEC is connected properly to the equipment.
